A team at the University of Minnesota led by biomedical engineering professor Bin He have developed a new technology that allows people to steer a flying robot using nothing but brain waves.
The process is entirely non-invasive; all users have to do is wear a cap fitted with electrodes that picks up brainwaves, allowing them to direct the flying robot with agility and finesse.
This new technology could potentially help people with speech or mobility disabilities control artificial limbs, wheelchairs and other devices.
