China-based architecture studio Studio Liu Lubin has designed and built a ‘micro-house’, placing it in the middle of a Beijing park.

The ‘micro-house’ is based on creating a comfortable living area with the minimum possible area.

Built with a fiber-reinforced composite, the ‘micro-house’ can be assembled entirely by hand and fits into a standard sized shipping container for easy transportation.

This also ensures that a significant proportion of the population will have access to a form of private housing.

The cross-shaped housing unit can be used as a single-function room and can also be combined to create a housing suite or a residential complex.
